My name is Jessica Saavedra. I’m a Mexican Plastic Surgeon who has focused on detecting and treating breast implant illness

“ Always believe in your patients symptoms”

After completing my medical degree, I underwent a rigorous training program in General Surgery for four years, followed by an additional three years in Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery. Throughout my clinical practice, I have observed the phenomenon known as Breast Implant Illness (BII), which can lead to Autoimmune Syndrome Induced by Adjuvants (ASIA). Due to the nonspecific nature of the symptoms associated with this condition, it often goes unrecognized, leaving patients feeling frustrated and desperate for answers.

In response to this issue, I have conducted numerous explant surgeries, and I have witnessed significant symptom remission in nearly all cases. This experience underscores the importance of awareness and understanding of BII and ASIA syndrome within the medical community, as well as the need for compassionate, informed care for affected patients

I’ve noticed that the principal concerns of my patients for making a decision for explantations are: pain, recovery time but most of all the appearance of their breast after surgery. We have developed a structural way of explantation with very beautiful results different for each patient.
